Praise God!!!
Dez and I have been very troubled over whether to give Charlene steroids. I prayed to God and told Him to give me a really clear signal as I am an idiot and a stiff-necked person like the Israelites.
God responded! It was so amazing. Charlene suddenly could cry normally again. She cried harder when she is put down. Previously, we hypothesized (based on our observations) that Charlene would have less episodes when she was crying. And true enough, Charlene didn't have any episodes for 22 hours! With the frequency of the episodes falling significantly, there is no longer the need. for steroids.
We also learnt to treat each day with thanksgiving,. Few weeks back (see 17 Mar 10 post), we were upset with Charlene's constant non-stop crying. But after she stopped crying, we were worried when she would start crying again.
So thank God for his Providence! We will treasure each day as it comes, and trust that the Lord will provide for us in ways that we do not understand, but is ultimately for the good of us. Amen!

Hey Alicia, Grace (ex-collegue from TPJC) here. Adeline told me that you had a baby and about your blog. Charlene is a beautiful baby and I am praying for her full recovery! Remember to take care of yourself too! Just a thought that came to me: would Chinese acupuncture or medicine help Charlene? Hang in there!!
