The doctors called us for a conference. They explained to us that Charlene's condition is worsening due to the poor lungs functioning, and the lack of oxygen in the blood. This increases the risk of the heart stopping. They wanted us to decide whether we want to resuscitate her if the heart stopped. They advise us that Charlene condition is expected to worsen across the days and resuscitating her is prolonging the inevitable.
Both of us cried and were lost as to how to make such a decision. Des didn't want to see Charlene suffer, but we didn't tell the doctors about our decision at all.
